  1. Welcome to EarthCare Interactive for IBM PC 
  2. compatibles and Macintosh.
  3.  
  4. To install (WINDOWS) Only
  5.  
  6. 1.      Start Windows.
  7.  
  8. 2.      In the Program Manager or File Manager, click on the "FILE" 
  9. menu option.
  10.  
  11. 3.      Click on the "RUN" menu option.
  12.  
  13. 4.      In the "Command Line Box" type the following:
  14.         
  15.         "The CD-ROM Drive Letter":\install.exe
  16.         (or double click on the install.exe program)
  17.  
  18.  
  19. This will create a program group with eight icons in the Program 
  20. Manager.  No files will be copied and very little hard disk space is 
  21. required (10 k or less!)
  22.  
  23. To run:
  24. Double click on EarthCare! icon to start.
  25.     The EarthCare main menu will first appear.
  26.     Click on "Show me how" to receive detailed instructions
  27.         on the location and use of the features of EarthCare!
  28.     From the EarthCare main menu select by clicking on:
  29.         **** Press escape to quit at any time.
  30.         **** One of the four narrated books.
  31.             I Love... Air, Animals, Dirt and Water.
  32.             (inside the books:
  33.                 ** right and left frogs go to the next and 
  34.                 last page.
  35.                 ** click on the right frog to interrupt reading
  36.                 ** click on words to hear any word
  37.                 ** click on left picture to reveal surprise 
  38.                 animations
  39.                 ** click on the shaking present to get activity
  40.                 ideas (Idea boxes).
  41.         
  42.         **** Alphabet animal dictionary.
  43.         **** One of the four songs (also available in stereo!)
  44.             (use the Music version unless you have stereo 
  45.             speakers)
  46.         **** "Read them all" to read all the books -- to stop 
  47.             readings --- CLICK on the right frog.
  48.  
  49. Also included are: all the text for each book in Write
  50. format,  words for all the songs, and collected activity ideas!
